User can either select the NetUSB-400i USB Server from the list or enter the MAC address of the

NetUSB-400i USB Server whose network settings are to be conﬁgured.

The user needs to key-in the MAC address of the NetUSB-400i USB Server in the ﬁelds provided

as MAC Address. A MAC Address is a value of six byte, usually written in hexadecimal notation

with colons for separating. An example is 00:04:D9:80:3A:9D, a NetUSB-400i USB Server has

this property printed on the back side of the case. In some software or documentations the colons

are replaced by a minus. To enter the MAC Address in this dialog, just type the bytes without

the separating colon. Then click on the Next button. The USB Server is searched, found, and the

conﬁguration shown (ﬁgure 29).

The parameters conﬁgured this way are the same as of sections 4.1.1 and 4.1.1. Choose the IP

Settings Mode to conﬁgure the NetUSB-400i USB Server. In Static mode select the IP conﬁguration

properly. Similarly the User can assign a friendly Server Name for the USB Server for identiﬁcation

by selecting the Server Name check box.
